1980
Brent Harris, owner and designer of Brentley Softpacks, begins business by selling his products at street fairs in and around Bellingham, Washington.

1980's
The company's focus is on developing packs for those who enjoy the great outdoors. Brentley Softpacks packs are used for climbing expeditions around the world.

1984
Company opens first retail store in Bellingham, Washington.

1994
Brentley Softpacks is renamed Brenthaven and focus shifts from outdoor packs to notebook carrying cases. Brentley Softpacks line of non-technology cases is still sold today in Brenthaven company store in Bellingham.

1990's
Brenthaven cases are top shelf offering in many premium luggage retailers across the United States and in Japan.

2000
Brenthaven partners with Apple to create a high quality line of cases for Apple notebooks. Brenthaven is the first line of laptop bags in the first Apple retail store.

2001
Brenthaven enters the corporate market and becomes the laptop case standard for many Fortune 1000 companies.

2003
Brenthaven expands to Europe and is again the first laptop bag in the first Apple UK retail store.

2007
Brenthaven launches 'Create Your Case', a way for customers to create a custom shoulder case on brenthaven.com and have it delivered in 7 working days.

2008
Brenthaven embarks on a mission to achieve Zero Impact: Zero impact on your notebook computer; Zero Impact on your health; and Zero Impact on our environment.

2009
Brenthaven launches full line of X-Ray Friendly(TM) cases which follow TSA guidelines and allow users to leave their laptop in the case while passing through airport security.

2010
Brenthaven opens new retail store in historic part of Bellingham, Washington called Fairhaven.
